The Technical Trainers College (TTC) in Riyadh offers a three year Bachelor Degree in the technical fields of Mechanical Technology, Electrical Technology & Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (ACR) and Information & Communication Technology. The program offers a new approach to the training of vocational educators combining training in the vocational discipline with Vocational Pedagogy.
Additionally, the trainees acquire first practical experiences through compulsory internships and training in Applied Vocational Pedagogy. As English is the main language of instruction during the entire Bachelor program, intensive instruction in Technical and Business English forms an important part of the students’ education. The six semester training program combines modern knowledge in vocational pedagogy with a thorough training in a chosen technical specialisation. There is a 60:40 split between theoretical and practical training. During the theoretical training, half of the time is used for pedagogy related courses; the other half is reserved for technical training.

Technical Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) of the Saudi Arabian government has engulfed on a course of action which places international cooperation with the German partner German International Cooperation (GIZ) on a prominent place. GIZ has been entrusted with the management of this innovative new institution for ToT: “Training of Trainers”.
